AMD R7 4800H or Intel i7 10750H Overview:
The Ryzen 7 4800H is an 8-core, 16-thread processor with a base clock of 2.9 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.2 GHz, whereas the i7–10750H is a 6-core, 12-thread processor with a base clock of 2.6 GHz and a boost frequency of 5 GHz.
But none of these matters since the microarchitecture is what ultimately matters. A 4-Core Intel Core 2 Q8200 (Desktop) will never compete with a 2-Core i3–10110U due to architectural issues (Laptop).
Things start to become difficult at this point.
Ryzen has progressed to become one of the most scalable architectures on the market. The 45-Watt Laptop Ryzen 7 4800H is equal to Desktop-Grade i9–9900 and i7–9700 in multi-threaded scheduled tasks such as Video Rendering, CPU-Intensive Simulations, 3D Modelling, and so on, or just multitasking with hundreds of programs!
Intel’s uniform die comes in useful here! Nothing in the Ryzen product range comes close to the i7–10750H’s single-core performance. As a consequence, Intel can easily add an additional 10–15 frames per second to CPU-intensive or high-FPS games!
There are a few minor technical modifications as well. Despite the fact that AMD has a StoreMi software replacement for Optane and Thunderbolt compatibility.
The AMD Ryzen 7 4800H is compared to the Intel Core i7-10750H on the one hand, while the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H is compared to the Intel Core i7-10750H on the other. The first is meant for laptops and has eight cores, sixteen threads, and a maximum clock speed of 4.2GHz. The second, which is used in laptops, has six cores and twelve threads with a turbo frequency of 5.0 GHz.
Finally, the graph below combines lithography, transistor count (if available), cache memory, maximum RAM memory capacity, memory type permitted, date of the first broadcast, the maximum number of PCIe lines, Geekbench 4 and Cinebench R15 scores, and average price.
So I have to choose between AMD R7 4800H or Intel i7 10750H, I’d definitely go with Ryzen, because a 10FPS bump isn’t going to help me anyway, and Ryzen is also more power-efficient, indicating longer battery life for laptops, and is just less costly! It’s also great for me as a multi-tasker to be able to run a Game/Video Render at full speed without my laptop suffering.
